The ZX7R has a cult following, much like a GSXR, the fact that it probably hung around too long and wasn't the fastest bike available not detracting from people's love for the big green machine.

The ZX7R followed the successful lineage of the ZXR750. Whilst WSB title success was not achieved in its guise as a ZX7 a world championship did come courtesy of British rider Brian Morrison in the Endurance World Championship.
The green machine became a familiar sight carving its way around world and domestic series, who could forget the exploits of Glenn Richards and Scott Smart battling at the front of BSB on a bike many considered past-its-sell-by-date.
